60 Saudi Trucks Deliver Medical Supplies, Food, and Shelter to Syria

Delivery is a component of the Kingdom’s humanitarian assistance to Syria in aid of its post-civil war reconstruction. Damascus International Airport also receives 16 Saudi relief aircraft.
Border crossing of the Nasib: According to the Saudi Press Agency, 60 relief trucks with food, shelter, and medical supplies entered Syria on Friday at the Nasib crossing on the Jordanian border. The shipment is a component of Saudi humanitarian assistance supporting the new Syrian government’s attempts to reconstruct the nation following years of civil war.

The supply, which was coordinated by the Saudi assistance organisation KSrelief, increases the total number of vehicles to 174. As part of a Saudi air aid bridge that was initiated last month, 16 relief flights have also arrived at Damascus International Airport with KSrelief team members and comparable supplies.

Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, the supervisor general of the organisation, emphasised Saudi Arabia’s unwavering assistance since the Syrian crisis started in 2011, with KSrelief consistently delivering aid to Syrians who were internally displaced, refugees in nearby nations, and earthquake victims in February 2023. According to KSrelief, the Kingdom provided more than $856 million in help to the Syrian people between 2011 and the end of 2024.
