AlUla Dates Season Concludes with a 30% Increase in Sales

RIYADH: This season’s date sales have increased by 30% to 1,750 tonnes, according to the Royal Commission for AlUla.

The Saudi Press Agency said on Monday that 843 farmers took part in the AlUla Dates Season auction, which is 45% more than the previous year.

Top chefs demonstrated how to prepare classic meals using AlUla dates as a vital component during this season’s array of events at the Al-Manshiyah Farmers Market.

With dozens of tents selling a vast array of goods, the market was a hive of economic activity.

Families engaged in cottage industries showcased their skills and goods, such as honey, flowers, plants, dates, handicrafts, traditional attire, and delicious regional food.

The commission highlighted its dedication to farmers by offering training courses, workshops, and programs that support sustainable farming methods and boost output.

According to the SPA, this effort aims to increase AlUla dates’ competitiveness both domestically and regionally, which will promote economic development through the agriculture sector.
