RIYADH — Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, along with King Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, have generously donated SR70 million to the fifth National Campaign for Charitable Work through the Ehsan Platform, which got underway on Friday. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman gave SR30 million, and King Salman gave SR40 million. Their contributions demonstrate the Saudi leadership’s steadfast support for humanitarian and philanthropic endeavors, especially during the holy month of Ramadan, and demonstrate their commitment to fostering social cohesion and solidarity.
Majid Al-Qassabi, the chairman of the supervisory committee of the Ehsan Platform, thanked the leadership for their significant assistance, stressing that such kindness demonstrates the Kingdom’s dedication to enabling altruistic activities in an open and effective manner. Through the Ehsan Platform’s website, mobile app, unified number 8001247000, or specified bank accounts, the general public can support the campaign.
The Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) oversees the platform’s operations, and a specialized Shariah committee makes sure that Shariah regulations are followed. Over SR10 billion has been donated to Ehsan since its founding in 2021, which is evidence of the Kingdom’s strong sense of social cohesion and the leadership’s ongoing support. Contributions to this year’s campaign, which was started with an SR70 million donation from King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, exceeded SR700 million in the first few hours and are still growing.
