MAKKAH: To support educational advancement and the region’s goals for digital transformation, the General Directorate of Education in the Makkah region launched the “Hour of Artificial Intelligence in Education” program to improve digital literacy and give educators and students skills in integrating AI.

Following the National eLearning Center’s framework for AI competencies in digital instruction, the program, which is a part of the global “Hour of AI” project, develops expertise in using generative AI tools through educational credentials on the “Madrasati” (My School) platform.

The effort aims to improve learning outcomes, stimulate creativity in academic settings, develop practical knowledge among educators and students, raise awareness of AI applications, and train a generation that can responsibly use current technologies.

Students from every school level participate in the program, as do educators from nearby institutions. Final registration for the tournament closes on February 16 and it runs through May 14.In line with the Kingdom’s aim of a knowledge-based, innovation-driven economy, Makkah Education’s launch of this program demonstrates its dedication to cutting-edge international teaching methodologies and to preparing the education system for new demands.
