Today is Kuwait’s National Day, and on Sunday, Jeddah Gov. Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi went to an event in the city to honour it. The Saudi Press Agency said that Prince Saud was greeted by Yousef Abdullah Al-Tunaib, who is the general consul for Kuwait, and other consulate staff. There were also people from the foreign corps and Fareed bin Saad Al-Shehri, who is the director-general of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Makkah.
Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Tunaib, Consul General and Permanent Representative of the State of Kuwait to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, spoke at the event. He said that the celebration shows pride in the country’s journey, which is full of giving and success. He did this by talking about what the State of Kuwait has done to make progress in many areas of development and the economy under its wise leadership.
He talked about how close the State of Kuwait and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are as brothers and how they are always working together on issues of common interest. He also said that his country was eager to back Islamic action that was done by both countries.
