Serving Pilgrims is Still a "Firm Principle" in the Kingdom's Policy, According to the Saudi Ambassador to the Ivory Coast

According to the Saudi ambassador to the Republic of Ivory Coast, the Kingdom’s strategy continues to be based on the “firm principle” of servicing Muslim pilgrims throughout the Hajj season.

According to Ambassador Saad bin Bakhit Al-Qathami, all of the state’s resources have been used to assist pilgrims in compliance with the Saudi leadership’s orders.

For the second year in a row, the Ivory Coast’s government, religious authorities, and media have responded favorably to the Makkah Route Initiative, which has helped to ease the travel processes of pilgrims from all over the world, according to a report from the Saudi Press Agency.

The ambassador stated that this year’s program has utilized artificial intelligence-equipped mobile devices to collect the biometrics of its recipients for the first time.

According to SPA, Al-Qathami “paid tribute to the close bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, which have been strengthened in all fields” and commended the initiative’s success in Ivory Coast.

Additionally, he expressed gratitude to the Ivorian side for their assistance in carrying out the effort.
