A Saudi Hospital and a Tokyo Company Collaborate to Develop a Stem Cell Therapy Method

TOKYO: The King Abdullah International Medical Research Centre and ADR Therapeutics, a division of Tokyo-based Cytori Cell Research Institute, Inc., have inked a Letter of Intent to carry out a collaborative clinical study for “90-minute complete stem cell therapy.” According to PR Times, the partnership is anticipated to spur medical advancement in the Middle East and give patients with incurable illnesses who were previously thought to be hard to cure fresh hope.

Conventional stem cell treatment is expensive and requires lengthy wait times since extracted cells must be cultivated for a few weeks to months at a specialised facility. The Cellution System from ADR Therapeutics may be used the same day that the patient’s tissue is collected since it takes just 90 minutes to purify non-cultured cells to the state required for therapy. For conditions including osteoarthritis, diabetic foot lesions, Crohn’s disease, and chronic pain, this offers a secure and efficient therapy alternative. Because the patient’s own cells are being utilised, there is a very minimal chance of rejection, and there is also a lower chance of infection because no culture procedure is needed.
