A Training Program is Launched in Comoros by an Islamic Alliance

RIYADH: The Saudi Press Agency said Tuesday that a new training program called “Building the Capacity of Imams and Preachers” has begun in Moroni, Comoros. The program, which is a component of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition’s larger intellectual agenda, was organised by the group. Youssoufa Mohamed Ali, the defence minister of Comoros, reiterated his nation’s dedication to the alliance in the fight against terrorism and extremism.

He emphasised the coalition’s important role, especially its emphasis on intellectual engagement, and called the program’s debut a major development. The project is part of a larger effort that encompasses 15 strategic initiatives in four areas: military operations, media, intellectual development, and counter-terrorism funding, according to Maj. Gen. Mohammed Al-Moghedi, the Saudi Arabian secretary-general for the coalition. In Bamako, Mali, the coalition recently conducted specialised training on countering the funding of terrorism. The program’s goal was to increase the nation’s ability to combat money laundering and terrorist financing.
