Abdullah Kamel Launches “B57+” to Empower OIC Business Community Worldwide

RIYADH — Sheikh Abdullah Saleh Kamel, chairman of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development (ICCD), announced the launch of the B57+ group on Sunday — a global business network uniting leaders from the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). The new initiative aims to strengthen economic and trade ties among Islamic countries while fostering lasting partnerships between the public and private sectors.

The announcement was made during Sheikh Kamel’s speech at the Business Leaders Summit 2025 in Istanbul Turkiye. The summit gathered representatives from 57 OIC member nations, alongside key figures from investment, financing, and development institutions. Hosted by the ICCD, the event carries the theme “The Private Sector as a Strategic Partner for Sustainable Development.” Turkish Minister of Trade Dr. Ömer Bolat and Islamic Development Bank Group President Dr. Mohamed Al-Jasser attended the opening session.

Sheikh Kamel highlighted that the formation of the B57+ group responds to the growing need for an effective platform of linking business leaders and policymakers across Islamic countries. He described the group as a comprehensive framework designed to shift economic cooperation from theoretical discussions to actionable partnerships.
