Engineer Abdullah Al-Swaha, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, has emphasised that Saudi Arabia’s leadership offers a trailblazing example of international collaboration to close social and economic divides in the application of artificial intelligence.
Al-Swaha emphasised Saudi Arabia’s social efforts by collaborating with the International Telecommunication Union to submit a report on how to close the digital divide, which is symbolised by the fact that 2.6 billion people lack access to digital solutions.
Saudi Arabia conducted numerous specialised surgeries, including open heart surgeries, for patients from various nations worldwide, and showcased the virtual hospital as a trailblazing model in the medical field. According to the minister, Saudi Arabia has proposed the creation of the Digital Cooperation Organisation in order to close these disparities, assist over 800 million people, and sustain a three and a half trillion dollar economic bloc. This will be achieved by offering digital platforms and a single digital market that will foster innovation in the fields of health, education, and business models, as well as increase efficiency and foster the expansion of the digital economy.
