RIYADH — Beginning with the 1447 academic year, the Ministry of Education, in collaboration with Tuwaiq Academy, has announced the opening of five new tech talent schools in strategic educational regions: Riyadh, Madinah, Eastern Province, Qassim, and Jeddah. First-year secondary pupils who have remarkable aptitude in technical subjects are the focus of these specialized institutions.
The Kingdom’s first government-run technological high school for talented pupils was successfully opened in December 2024 in Riyadh, and this expansion comes after that. In order to develop talent in fields with high demand, such computer science, artificial intelligence, mechatronics, and cybersecurity, the model combines advanced technical programs with the national curriculum in a dynamic learning environment.
Additionally, students will gain from growth paths that include leadership training, critical thinking classes, and an intense tech program. Complementary events including summer programs, scientific contests, and leisure activities are intended to develop tech-savvy, well-rounded pupils. The program is in line with the Ministry’s strategic goal of preparing a generation that is ready for the future and has the technical and digital skills necessary for Saudi Arabia to transition to a knowledge-based, digital economy.
