In order to give passengers more options, better services, and more value, Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, and Air Europa, a prominent Spanish airline, are planning to develop a strategic relationship. In order to facilitate easy travel between Abu Dhabi and Spain, Etihad is expanding its flights to Air Europa’s hub in Madrid to twice daily starting in the summer of 2025.
By establishing smooth travel alternatives between these important regions, the collaboration would further improve connectivity between Europe and Latin America, as well as the Middle East and Asia. “We are in discussions to establish a strategic partnership covering a range of activities, including deepening our codeshare and frequent flyer program, enabling both airlines to expand into new frontiers, and a potential wet lease operation with an Air Europa aircraft between Madrid and Abu Dhabi,” stated Arik De, Chief Revenue and Commercial of Etihad Airways.
“Any collaboration will benefit both airlines’ customers, demonstrating our dedication to giving our esteemed clients a smooth travel experience and access to a larger network, including Air Europa’s dominant Latin America Network.” “We are thrilled to extend our partnership with Etihad Airways into a scenario that will be even more rewarding for our customers,” stated Richard Clark, general manager of Air Europa.
