RIYADH: As part of its global food security program, the Saudi humanitarian organisation KSrelief has sent food parcels to Sudan, Lebanon, and Chad.
KSrelief provided 6,000 members of the most vulnerable communities in the Kanem region of Chad with 1,000 food parcels.
From August 22 to August 28, KSrelief distributed 175,000 bags of bread as part of the fourth phase of the Al-Amal Charitable Bakery project in the Akkar Governorate and Al-Minieh District of Lebanon. As part of the initiative, the humanitarian organisation provided 12,500 families in northern Lebanon—a mix of Syrian, Palestinian, and host communities—with 25,000 bags of bread every day.
In the Sudanese state of River Nile, 1,100 food parcels were given out in the Shendi locality, helping 6,325 displaced and underprivileged families affected by the rainy and flood seasons. In Akkar Governorate and Al-Minieh District, Lebanon, KSrelief carried out the fourth phase of the Al-Amal Charitable Bakery project.
In the Kanem region of Chad, KSrelief distributed 1,000 food parcels to 6,000 members of the most impoverished neighbourhoods.As part of the project, the humanitarian organisation provided 12,500 Syrian families with daily bread variations of 25,000 bags.
