RIYADH: According to the Saudi Press Agency, during the holy month of Ramadan, the Kingdom’s charity organization, KSrelief, is providing food baskets all over the world through its Etaam project. At the National Zakat Agency offices in Jakarta, Indonesia, KSrelief started the project with the goal of distributing 7,911 food baskets to 47,466 people in four locations. About 40,550 persons will benefit from the 8,110 food baskets that will be delivered throughout 30 governorates in Kosovo. The baskets contain flour, sugar, pasta, rice, and oil.
Beneficiaries of the Etaam initiative, which KSrelief started in Benin, thanked the Saudi government. Food baskets will be distributed to 7,500 families in Guinea’s cities of Conakry, Dubreka, Mamou, Kankan, and Nzerekore. 44,112 people in Mauritania will receive 7,352 food baskets, and 35,000 needy people in many towns in Tajikistan will receive 7,120 baskets.
In Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, KSrelief started an initiative to provide 50,400 people with 8,400 food baskets. At a total cost of more than SR67 million ($18 million), KSrelief intends to provide 390,109 food baskets in 27 countries throughout Ramadan, helping almost 2.3 million individuals.
