Muslim World League (MWL) Secretary General and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Mohammed Al-Issa, has strongly condemned the the ongoing genocide and systematic starvation in the Gaza Strip, describing it as a shameful stain on the conscience of the international community.
Speaking as a guest of honor at the eighth Congress of Leaders of the World and Traditional Religions, held in the Astana, Kazakhstan, on September 17, Sheikh Al-Issa has highlighted the devastating humanitarian and situation in Gaza and urged of global action to end the suffering.
In his address, he also reflected on the troubling global transformations that have intensified human tragedies, weakened international systems, and jeopardized the legitimacy of global governance. He also noted that these developments of pose a direct threat to peace, stability, and humanitarian values.
Sheikh Al-Issa further stressed the significant moral and spiritual authority of religious leaders across the world. He called for faith-based organizations to take a stronger role in promoting peace, dialogue, and cooperation. According to him, conflicts and clashes bring nothing but devastation and endless suffering, affecting all humanity without exception.
