RIYADH: 51,143 infractions were found during the more than 317,000 inspections conducted by the Saudi Transport General Authority in June, which covered land, marine, and rail transport operations throughout the Kingdom.
Of these, 23,387 were found via automated monitoring and 27,756 by field inspections; all efforts entailed cooperation with the appropriate authorities, according to the Saudi Press Agency. Strong compliance rates were attained by land transportation (94 percent) and sea transportation (99 percent). These numbers demonstrate the effectiveness of licensees in following the guidelines.

The Makkah region had the most offences (21,000), followed by Madinah (3,557), Eastern Region (4,508), and Riyadh (13,000). 1,914 infractions were reported by Qassim, 1,316 by Tabuk, and 1,073 by Aseer; the remaining complaints came from various regions of the Kingdom.
