In Yemen, KSrelief Continues to Provide Medical Care

RIYADH: Children and adults in Yemen’s Aden governorate are receiving cardiac surgery and catheterization on a continuing basis from Saudi Arabia’s humanitarian organization. The KSrelief medical team has already performed 35 cardiac catheterizations and eight open-heart surgeries, all of which were successful.

The Saudi Press Agency said on Thursday that 23 medical specialists are taking part in the project, which is in collaboration with the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen, and it runs until May 15.

Eight open heart surgeries and thirty-five cardiac catheterizations have already been completed successfully by the medical team.

Thus far, the medical team has successfully completed eight open heart surgeries and thirty-five cardiac catheterizations.T

In the meantime, KSrelief finished another medical project that involved 226 procedures for patients suffering from burns, disfigurements, and sports-related injuries.

The Aden governorate of Yemen hosted this initiative from April 27 to May 5, 2024.The family medicine clinic saw 2,317 patients, the dentistry clinic saw 587 patients, and the dermatology clinic saw 1,026 patients.

In sports rehabilitation, 78 employees received training as well. Also treated were 1,026 patients at the dermatology clinic, 2,317 at the family medicine clinic, and 587 at the dentistry clinic.
