RIYADH: According to a joint statement released on Wednesday, Saudi Arabia and India have decided to work together in a number of areas, including the defence industry and the investigation of cooperative projects in petrochemicals and refineries. According to the Saudi Press Agency, the two nations decided to increase their energy-related cooperation, notably in the supply of oil and liquefied petroleum gas.
The statement highlights their common positions on a number of subjects and was issued following Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s brief visit to the Kingdom. In order to assist efforts to solve the issues confronting the global economy, they both agreed that it is critical to improve coordination and collaboration between the two nations in international organisations and forums, such as the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, and the G20.
The Saudi-Indian Strategic Partnership Council’s growth to four ministerial committees was also appreciated by them. The presidents of Saudi Arabia and India exchanged opinions on Yemen and other regional concerns, according to the statement. The two parties declared their unwavering support for regional and global initiatives aimed at resolving Yemen’s situation through a comprehensive political settlement.
