RIYADH: Over the past ten years, the international humanitarian operations of the Saudi charity organisation KSrelief have been crucial in numerous nations. At the Riyadh International Humanitarian Forum, hundreds of humanitarian action professionals came together to commemorate the agency’s ten-year history. Saudi Arabia stressed the value of forming solid alliances by bringing together pertinent organisations.
On the sidelines of the meeting, Dr Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, Supervisor General of KSrelief, told Arab News: “I appreciate Arab News’s efforts to raise awareness about humanitarian work.” Without a doubt, KSrelief has undergone a significant transformation in the last ten years.
According to him, the agency began modestly but significantly, much like Saudi Arabia’s history and humanitarian efforts, which date back to the Kingdom’s founding. He also mentioned that Saudi Arabia’s authorities have been actively supporting international humanitarian efforts.
“Creating solid partnerships is the best way to improve our work,” he stated. We have established more than 211 collaborations with local, regional, international, and UN organisations over the years. Additionally, we have expanded our activities to include 12 humanitarian sectors. According to al-Rabeeah, the Kingdom made investments to strengthen international humanitarian law and established a robust volunteer program, guaranteeing neutrality and impartiality in its operations.
