ISLAMABAD — Saudi Shoura Council Speaker Sheikh Abdullah Al-Sheikh held an official meeting on Tuesday with Pakistan’s National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq at the National Assembly headquarters in Islamabad.
At the beginning of the session, Sadiq extended a warm welcome to Al-Sheikh and his accompanying delegation, wishing them a pleasant stay in Pakistan. He praised the steady progress and prosperity in Saudi-Pakistani relations the across various sectors commending the Kingdom’s continuous support for Pakistan and its influential role in regional and international affairs.
In response, Dr. Al-Sheikh expressed gratitude for the warm reception and hospitality. He noted the substantial growth in bilateral ties between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, emphasizing the deep-rooted friendship and cooperation between their legislative institutions. He also highlighted the importance of further strengthening parliamentary and collaboration to enhance mutual relations.
During the discussions, both sides reviewed the strong historical ties between the two nations and explored ways to expand parliamentary cooperation between the Shoura Council and the National Assembly. The meeting also included an exchange of views on regional and international developments of shared interest reaffirming their commitment to advancing the common interests of both countries and their peoples.
