Saudi Arabia has issued a strong condemnation of the brutal Israeli aggression against Qatar, calling it a blatant violation of the country’s sovereignty. In a speech at the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, Saudi Arabia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations and international organizations, Ambassador Abdulmohsen bin Khothaila, expressed the Kingdom’s complete solidarity with Qatar and backed any steps it might take in response. He highlighted the serious risks posed by these criminal actions from the Israeli occupation, which he said clearly defy international law and established norms.
The ambassador also reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s staunch opposition to the ongoing Israeli abuses against Palestinians, including forced displacements, blockades, and starvation tactics that blatantly ignore international law and fundamental humanitarian standards.
Furthermore, Bin Khothaila denounced the recent Israeli strikes within Syrian borders, particularly the bombings in Homs and Latakia provinces. He urged the global community to step in immediately to stop these violations, ensure accountability for the occupying forces, and prevent further threats to regional security and stability.
