RIYADH: The inaugural executive committee meeting of the International Association of Anti-Corruption Authorities was held digitally on Thursday, with participation from Saudi Arabia through the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority, also known as Nazaha.
Mazin bin Ibrahim Al-Kahmous, the president of Nazaha, thanked Danny Woo, the president of IAACA and the commissioner of Hong Kong’s Independent Commission Against Corruption, for the association’s important work in fostering global collaboration in the fight against corruption.
According to a press release, Al-Kahmous stated that Saudi Arabia has focused heavily on bolstering international collaborations in the fight against corruption and the advancement of integrity, which has led to several observable successes.
He stated that Saudi Arabia is a firm believer in the critical role that IAACA plays in fostering openness and enabling the sharing of skills, information, and experiences.
Several vital initiatives, such as the regular in-person general meeting of IAACA members in Hong Kong or on the fringes of the Conference of the States Parties to the UN Convention against Corruption, are anticipated to be launched as a result of the Kingdom’s engagement with the association, he said.
