LONDON: Saudi Arabia is a leader in international humanitarian efforts, according to Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, supervisor-general of KSrelief. Al-Rabeeah stated that the Kingdom had completed 8,406 humanitarian, relief, development, and charitable projects worth more than $142 billion across 173 countries while giving a talk on humanity in medicine at the Zayed Centre for Research into Rare Disease in Children at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London.
This made it one of the leading donors globally and ranked it first in the Arab world. Al-Rabeeah further stated that the Kingdom’s humanitarian activities have greatly increased under the leadership of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Since its founding in 2015, KSrelief alone has carried out 3,881 projects worth more than $8.25 billion in 109 countries, addressing important areas including water, food security, education, and health. According to Al-Rabeeah, the Kingdom has completed 8,406 charity, development, relief, and humanitarian initiatives totaling more over $142 billion in 173 nations. Al-Rabeeah gave a talk on the role of mankind in medicine at the Zayed Centre for Investigation into Rare Disease in Children at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London.
