RIYADH: A senior tourism official stated that the Kingdom will likely meet its goals before 2030 based on Saudi Arabia’s outstanding accomplishments in the tourism industry.
During a panel discussion at the Future Hospitality Summit held in Riyadh, Gloria Manzo, chief special adviser at the Ministry of Tourism, compared Saudi Arabia’s approach to the industry’s development to the private sector. The private sector has defined goals; key performance metrics are reviewed quarterly.
According to Manzo, raising the goal shows that Saudi Arabia is making more headway than anticipated, encouraging the country’s tourism industry.
She declared, “The sky is the limit” for Saudi Arabia. She also said that the Kingdom is experiencing previously unprecedented levels of government investment in its development process.
No other nation in the world is doing what the administration of this country is doing. In my thirty years of work, I have never seen anything like this,” the officer remarked.
She also emphasized some of the difficulties the tourism industry faces, like weather-related emergencies and geopolitical problems that might cause disruptions in business.
We have goals and quarterly meetings where we review our KPIs,” she continued. If you’re on the plan, those figures will likely be reached by 2030; if not, you’ll need to explain why.
