RIYADH: Next month, an international conference on “The Role of Saudi Universities in Promoting the Values of National Belonging and Peaceful Coexistence” will be held at Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University in Riyadh on April 28 and 29. It will be under the other nations among the attendees auspices of King Salman.
The university president, Ahmed bin Salem Al-Ameri, thanked the king for his support and stated that the event’s goal is to “highlight the experiences of universities in promoting these lofty values, and to demonstrate the importance of correct doctrine and the approach of moderation,” according to a Saudi Press agency report released on Wednesday.
He added that increasing vegetation cover and reducing carbon emissions is one way to achieve this. The agreement also includes naming trees after university employees to promote a culture of sustainability.
He said that leaders, dignitaries, academics, and intellectuals from the Kingdom and other nations would be among the attendees. During lectures, discussion sessions, and workshops, they will share their specialized knowledge in law, science, and society.
