RIYADH: The 29th International Association of Prosecutors Conference kicked off in Baku, Azerbaijan, on Tuesday, and Sheikh Saud Al-Mojeb, the attorney general of Saudi Arabia, is leading a high-level delegation from the Kingdom. The three-day event’s participants include multinational organisations that fight transnational crime, human trafficking, and terrorism, as well as prosecutors from around the globe.
The Saudi delegation will participate in international talks concerning extradition procedures, mutual legal assistance, and information sharing to improve global collaboration in the criminal justice system. The delegation comprises representatives from the Public Prosecution and the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority.
Al-Mojeb participated in talks with counterparts from Austria, Croatia, Turkiye, Georgia, Malta, Kenya, and Nepal on the first day of the conference. According to the Saudi Press Agency, they talked on how crucial it is to create collaborative frameworks to solve shared issues with criminal justice and cross-border crime.
