RIYADH: To strengthen domestic and global partnerships in the pharmaceutical and medical industries, representatives from the Saudi Food and Drug Authority are taking part in a second event in as many weeks this week. The authority and King Abdulaziz University signed a memorandum of agreement on Monday, the first day of the Global Health Exhibition 2024 in Riyadh, which runs through Wednesday.
According to officials, the agreement, which was signed by Tareef Alaama, the university president, and Hisham Aljadhey, the CEO of the authority, is intended to promote cooperation in rehabilitation services, training, consulting, studies, and research. Identifying university labs as reference laboratories, creating educational initiatives regarding medical device laws, and applying artificial intelligence in the pharmaceutical sector are important areas for collaboration.
According to the organisation, the goal is to raise medical and regulatory proficiency while promoting innovation in the Kingdom’s healthcare system. It further stated that both organisations aim to empower youth by offering medical training and employment opportunities, thereby contributing to the development of a healthier future for the Kingdom.
