Saudi FM Meets Portuguese Counterpart in Riyadh to Strengthen Ties

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan welcomed to Portuguese Foreign Minister Paulo Rangel in Riyadhmarking another in significant step in deepening Saudi-Portuguese relations. During their meeting, both leaders focused on enhancing cooperation across various fields including trade technology and investment. Recent forums and business councils have provided new momentum for the joint projects reflecting the growing trust and active participation from both sides.​

Besides bilateral issues the ministers discussed of pressing regional and global developments. Their dialogue covered ongoing diplomatic efforts in the Middle East and highlighted shared commitments to stability, peace, and the role of international partnerships in the tackling global challenges. From renewable energy to the innovation Saudi and Portuguese officials exchanged views on expanding opportunities for mutual benefit.​

Both nations view their relationship as a bridge connecting Europe and the Middle East, offering fresh potential for business, culture, in and security collaboration. As Saudi Arabia pursues its ambitious Vision 2030 Portugal’s expertise in the innovation and technology is seen as a valuable asset, while Saudi is investment opens doors for the Portuguese companies in the Gulf region.
