The Saudi FM Said that an Immediate and Permanent Ceasefire in Gaza Should be Put into Place.

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia reaffirmed on Tuesday the need for a prompt and comprehensive ceasefire in the Gaza Strip as well as the ongoing delivery of sufficient humanitarian aid to the region.

Prince Faisal bin Farhan, the foreign minister of the Kingdom, stated that a dependable and unchangeable route to a two-state resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict was required during a preparatory meeting for the foreign ministers of the Arab League in Manama.

According to the minister, the Kingdom has made every effort to rally international support in order to halt the brutal Israeli attacks and lessen the effects of the Gaza conflict, working in tandem with friendly nations.

The extent of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza has worsened, and international institutions’ incapacity to uphold global peace and security has been made evident, according to Prince Faisal, by Israel’s persistent aggression and breach of all international laws and standards in the absence of international accountability measures.

In addition, Prince Faisal emphasised the Kingdom’s dedication to maintaining the Red Sea region’s safety and security, guaranteeing freedom of navigation, and averting new crises in the area.

The minister addressed the Kingdom’s worries about ongoing military operations in Sudan and the ensuing humanitarian crisis.
