Saudi Foreign Minister Meets Global Counterparts at G7 Summit in Canada

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan met with India’s Minister of External Affairs Subrahmanyam Jaishankar on the sidelines of the G7 foreign ministers’ meeting hosted by Canada on Wednesday, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

During their meeting, the two ministers discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and India across various sectors. They also exchanged views on key regional and international developments and issues of mutual concern.

Prince Faisal arrived earlier in the day in the Niagara Region of Ontario to take part in the two-day G7 ministerial meetings, where the Kingdom is participating as an invited country. The discussions focus on global economic and security challenges, including maritime and energy security, as well as vital minerals.

On the sidelines of the summit, Prince Faisal also met with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, and Canada’s Foreign Minister Anita Anand. His meetings aimed to review bilateral relations and explore ways to enhance cooperation on shared strategic interests.
