SDAIA Academy Invites Applications for Quantum Computing Boot Camp

RIYADH: The SDAIA Academy has launched registration for a five-day quantum computing boot camp designed to strengthen national skills in one of the world’s most advanced and complicated computing sectors. The boot camp will take place from January 11 to 15, with five hours of training every day, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

It is organized by the Saudi Data and AI Authority in partnership with King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals and is aimed at professionals and specialists in computer science and related fields.

According to the SDAIA, the program is intended to provide participants with a fundamental understanding of quantum computing and its potential applications, as Saudi Arabia increases spending on advanced and emerging technologies in line with Vision 2030.

Quantum computing is significantly different from classical computing since it relies on quantum mechanics rather than binary logic. While still in its early stages, it is widely projected to transform fields such as cybersecurity, optimization, sophisticated modeling, and data-intensive research.
