TEDxYouth Dammam Encourages Students to Dream Big and Speak Boldly

DAMMAM: On Wednesday, the ISG Dammam had its second TEDxYouth event, which included 17 young speakers who presented concepts that questioned presumptions, examined identity, and provided novel insights into the world.

The popular YouTube TED talks are held under the bright red flag of Technology, Entertainment, and Design. The “x” denotes that the event is independently organized while adhering to TED’s stringent requirements. Beyond the Surface: seeing deeper, choosing better, dreaming together, living fully” was this year’s theme, which encouraged students to consider life and envision new possibilities.

The event was arranged by English instructor Nadia Iqbal, who stated: “Our students here represent different voices. While many of the 12 speakers are new to this large TEDx platform, some have experience. I believe in those ideas, so I wanted them to be presented on the TEDx stage. According to Iqbal, who told Arab News, Life is not just about successes and failures; there’s something in between that goes beyond the surface.

Late May saw the start of auditions, and Iqbal provided summer tutoring while students polished and practiced their speeches. To make their presentations precise, perceptive, and captivating, many rewrote drafts several times.
