RIYADH: The Saudi Broadcasting Authority announced on Thursday that the second Saudi Film Confex will be held in Riyadh from October 9 to 12. The goal is to advance investment and cooperation opportunities and strengthen and expand the Kingdom’s film sector.
The program will include thirty panel discussions and workshops on important business subjects, such as film funding and production planning. According to the organisers, the festival will include an exhibition of more than 130 local, regional, and international businesses and organisations specialising in production, smart studio construction, and cinematic technologies. It will also include activities aimed at enhancing the visitor experience and exploring the various facets of filmmaking.
It seeks to stimulate the Saudi film industry by promoting filming and production opportunities, fostering collaboration with top global industry partners, improving local industry infrastructure, aiding startups, and introducing high-caliber initiatives that provide value.
Panel talks, seminars, and an exhibition are all part of this 4-day event in Riyadh. Thirty panel discussions and workshops addressing important industry themes like production planning and film funding will be part of the event.
