RIYADH: As part of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Program for Hajj, Umrah, and Visit, King Salman of Saudi Arabia has approved 1,000 pilgrims from 66 countries to perform Umrah in Saudi Arabia. During the current Islamic year, which concludes in the last week of June 2025, the pilgrims will be accommodated in four groups.
Sheikh Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh, the general supervisor of the Hajj and Umrah program and the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call, and Guidance, expressed gratitude to the Saudi government for making it possible for Muslims from all over the world to complete the small pilgrimage with comfort and tranquility.
“The pilgrims’ hosting is an extension of the great care that the leadership takes to serve Islam and Muslims,” the minister stated.
Additionally, he said, it will foster productive communication between scholars and prominent individuals invited by the program and fortify the ties of fraternity among Muslims worldwide.
Since its inception, the program has benefited individuals from over 140 nations, according to the minister.
