The Ministry of Islamic Affairs Has Established a Toll-Free Helpline For Pilgrims That is Open 24/7

RIYADH: To answer pilgrims’ questions and offer religious rulings (fatwas) pertaining to the Hajj, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance has established a toll-free helpline (800 2451000) that is open 24/7. Arabic, English, French, Turkish, Urdu, Indonesian, Bengali, Hausa, Amharic, and Hindi are among the ten languages in which the service offers religious counselling.

The ministry’s efforts to make it easier for people to undertake Hajj rites in compliance with Islamic law include the toll-free helpline. The hotline guarantees that pilgrims obtain trustworthy theological assistance by facilitating direct conversation with a small number of knowledgeable academics and trained interpreters. The ministry has emphasised the Kingdom’s intention to provide the best possible care throughout the journey and encouraged all pilgrims to take full advantage of this free service.

According to the ministry, 300 academics and advocates have been tasked by the minister of Islamic affairs to offer lectures and fatwas for domestic Hajj campaigns throughout this year’s Hajj season. The ministry is still working to help travellers during the Hajj by offering awareness and guiding services at the Aisha Mosque, which is one of the important pilgrimage sites in Makkah. In order to raise religious consciousness and make ritual execution easier, the services include the broadcasting of awareness messages in many languages over electronic displays.
