The Museum in Jeddah Hosts a Cultural Event to Celebrate its History

JEDDAH: One of the cultural establishments commemorating Saudi Arabia’s Founding Day in style is the Tariq Abdulhakim Centre Museum in Jeddah. Under the direction of the Museums Commission, the three-day festival offers a comprehensive artistic and cultural experience that highlights the Kingdom’s legacy and fortifies national identity. In accordance with Founding Day regulations, guests were welcomed with traditional Saudi coffee, which was offered in four different flavours.

“The idea is to celebrate our nation and its cultural components, which we reflect through the museum’s various offerings,” stated Tayeb Abdullh Altayeb, director of the Tariq Abdulhakim Centre Museum. Our primary goal is to preserve Saudi Arabia’s performing arts and musical legacy.

As a cultural evangelist, Tariq Abdulhakim helped establish the military band and was recognised by UNESCO for his efforts to preserve Saudi identity. It is appropriate that we honour his work and integrate our cultural sector with Vision 2030 on Founding Day. “We want to make sure that everyone has access to Saudi Arabia’s cultural aspects, especially during Founding Day,” a museum official stated.

Officials said that the museum’s spaces are made to accommodate individuals of all ages, including those with impairments, and that it also provides a venue for traditional bands, artists, and schools to display their work. On the first day of the festival, there was a performing arts workshop that combined live performances with handicrafts and an interactive creative procession.
