The President of Lebanon Vows to End all Wars and Calls for Unity to Gain Arab Support

Joseph Aoun, the president of Lebanon, issued a dire warning on Thursday, emphasizing that his nation cannot withstand another conflict and that Arab collaboration and national unity are essential to its recovery.

Aoun encouraged authorities to reject divides and foreign intervention and instead use the rising regional support to restore the country, saying, “The Lebanese can no longer withstand any additional war. At the Republican Palace, he was addressing a group of well-known Sunni religious leaders led by Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdel Latif Derian.

The president denounced Lebanon’s historical “fatal error” of seeking international support against its own citizens. “We all witnessed the terrible results of this strategy,” Aoun stated. “Instead, I want to fortify alliances with my brothers and allies at home to combat external threats, no matter where they come from.”

Aoun stated that Lebanon must fight the divide-and-conquer tactic by maintaining its internal unity, using Israel as an example. “This approach is confronted by our cohesion, which tackles all challenges,” he stated.

With the words, “Lebanon is secure, and we will not return to warfare rhetoric,” the president offered promises for the future of the nation. Lebanon itself serves as our framework and is only meant to be stable and prosperous.
