Riyadh: Somalian President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud recently visited the International Fair and Museum of the Prophet’s Biography and Islamic Civilization in Madinah.
According to the Saudi Press Agency, the museum opened its doors in February 2021 under the direction of the Muslim World League. The president was given an overview of interactive exhibits, including a biography of Prophet Muhammad, Madinah and Makkah models, the Hijrah route, atlases, maps, and educational resources.
After his visit, the president commended the project’s potential to help the Islamic country.
The museum, which is devoted to the life of Prophet Muhammad and the history of the Islamic world, is open 24 hours a day and is situated close to the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah.
Publications and exhibits at the museum also list over 25,000 examples of the Prophet Muhammad’s miraculous deeds. Dozens of paintings and interactive exhibits are part of the show. The museum also has a 4DX cinema showing movies about the Prophet Muhammad’s life. One of the pavilions in the exhibition is dedicated to the history of women in Islam and showcases the important role of women in spreading a message of truth and virtue, and the vital role women played in the life of the Prophet Muhammad.
