Volunteers are Invited by The Red Crescent For The Hajj Season

JEDDAH: In keeping with its goal of encouraging community involvement in humanitarian services and promoting volunteering, the Saudi Red Crescent Authority has opened volunteer registrations for this year’s Hajj season. The Saudi Press Agency said on Monday that volunteers are being asked to participate in one of four primary tracks as part of the effort. Delivering emergency first aid and rescue services prior to the arrival of specialised teams is the main goal of the paramedic track.

Giving pilgrims care and support, such as food, drink, and direction, is part of the humanitarian track. The media track, which uses photography, videography, and editing to highlight volunteer actions, is open to anyone with artistic abilities. In the meanwhile, the logistics track facilitates operations by managing the storage, transportation, and distribution of necessary supplies and machinery. The authority urged individuals to sign up via its volunteer platform, characterising Red Crescent volunteering as a worthwhile chance to acquire important skills, assist life-saving initiatives, and give back to the community.
