RIYADH On Wednesday, the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen denounced an assault on a senior commander’s convoy. The vehicles under the direction of Brigadier General Hamdi Shukri, who is in charge of the Giants Forces’ second division, were the target of the strike in the Jaoula region of the Lahj governorate.
Major General Turki Al-Maliki, a spokesman for the coalition, described the ambush as “a criminal act that is contrary to all human and moral values” and stated that many people were killed or injured. According to the Saudi Press Agency, he stated that the coalition, which includes Saudi Arabia, will keep working with the appropriate authorities to guarantee citizen security and uphold stability.
In order to combat any attempts at sabotage or terrorist activities aimed at the security and stability of freed governorates, he urged citizens to cooperate with the Yemeni government and military authorities. Al-Maliki added that the coalition is dedicated to assisting Yemeni security initiatives as well as tracking down and prosecuting the attackers.
