The imam and khateeb of the Prophet’s Mosque, Sheikh Abdullah Al-Buaijan, emphasized that Islam is a religion of peace and security. As the honored guest at a peace conference with the subject “Islam is the religion of humanity and peace,” he made this statement on Tuesday in Kozhikode, in the southern Indian state of Kerala.
The imam of Haram issued a warning against Muslim differences, saying that they can spark conflicts, cause turmoil, and jeopardize national unity. “Nations and civilizations are often destroyed by divisions and disunity, which also jeopardize national unity and entity.” He emphasized that God has forbade disputes and disagreements and that they are among the reasons why this will bring turmoil and serve as fuel for rebellion and conflicts.
Kerala’s Minister for Waqf and Hajj, V. Abdurahiman, spoke at the conference and praised Saudi Arabia for its important work in advancing Islam, bringing about peace, and encouraging moderation.
Over 50,000 Muslims attended the Kerala Nadvatul Mujahideen-organized conference, which was shown on multiple media outlets and received over four million views. The Maghrib and Isha prayers for the worshippers present at the conference were led by Sheikh Al-Buaijan.
