KSrelief is Still Working on Charity Projects in Gaza and Yemen

RIYADH: A civil society organization and Saudi Arabia’s assistance agency KSrelief have reached an agreement to carry out a $359,000 water and sanitation project in the Hodeidah governorate of Yemen. According to a recent Saudi Press Agency story, the project intends to enhance services and encourage hygiene among individuals impacted by the humanitarian situation.

It involves installing 20 mobile toilets, distributing personal hygiene kits, and providing toilet cleaning supplies. Additionally, 131,662 people will benefit from the guarantee of access to clean drinking water for household purposes. The deal was inked in Riyadh by Ahmed Al-Baiz, KSrelief’s assistant supervisor general of operations and programs.

In the meantime, 21,000 people benefited from the 2,100 shelter kits that KSrelief provided to northern Gazan residents and their families. According to the SPA, this relief coincides with a significant influx of displaced persons brought on by more than two months of Israeli military operations in northern Gaza.

The Saudi Center for Culture and Heritage, KSrelief’s executive partner in Gaza, has started delivering the humanitarian packages to ease the suffering caused by the prolonged siege and extreme weather. To help families deal with the difficult circumstances, the kits come with water containers, cooking tools, blankets, and beds. According to the SPA, the distribution is anticipated to continue in the days ahead, reaching thousands more poor and displaced families in Gaza.
