JEDDAH: According to the Saudi Press Agency, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman was present at the weekly cabinet meeting in Jeddah on Tuesday, which reviewed regional developments and Hajj preparations. Muslim pilgrims worldwide started coming to the Kingdom this year to complete the Hajj, and the crown prince greeted them.
To serve the pilgrim visitors, he also gave the appropriate authorities instructions to operate as efficiently and expertly as possible while putting security, preventative, and organisational preparations into action.
The crown prince also took note of the kingdom’s non-oil exports’ record performance reports for 2024 and their ongoing increasing trend. According to Vision 2030, the reports show the Saudi economy’s rapid progress towards diversifying its revenue and investment streams.
The ministers also praised Saudi Arabia’s progress in digital governance, pointing out that it has jumped 92 spots in the worldwide Open Data Inventory and maintained its top regional ranking in the UN’s e-government services index for the third year.
Regarding regional matters, the cabinet reaffirmed support for the two-state solution as a means of achieving permanent peace in Palestine, denounced Israeli assaults on Syria, called for a local political solution to end the crisis in Sudan, and underlined the Kingdom’s appeal for de-escalation throughout conflict zones.
