RIYADH: According to the Kingdom’s Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, Saudi Arabia’s dedication to environmental concerns is promoting green projects throughout the region.Abdulrahman Al-Fadhli emphasised the increasing environmental momentum in the Arab world while speaking at the 18th conference of the Centre for Environment and Development for the Arab Region and Europe in Cairo.
He said that Saudi Arabia’s lead in that surge has sparked essential projects like the Middle East Green Initiative, which aims to strengthen regional cooperation in the fight against land degradation, preservation of green areas, guarantee of food security, and climate change adaptation.
According to a Tuesday Saudi Press Agency story, al-Fadhli commended the center’s initiatives to improve collaboration between the Arab and European areas and to exchange knowledge in the fields of development and the environment.
The meeting’s primary focus was on enhancing the center’s effectiveness and operations, with talks emphasising the necessity of redefining its objectives to address present and upcoming difficulties.
To promote sustainable development goals, the study stated that the delegates also examined the center’s strategic plans, evaluated its institutional and financial capabilities for long-term program delivery, and looked at methods to strengthen regional cooperation in the circular economy.
