Why the Sudanese PM Publicly Thanked Saudi Arabia’s Leadership

Given the situation facing his nation, Sudanese Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris expressed gratitude to the administration of King Salman, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman for their unending humanitarian assistance to the Sudanese people. “This fraternal stance is an excellent example of Arab and Islamic solidarity and a commitment to the values of humanity and brotherhood,” he said.

The Sudanese leader praised the work of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) supervisor general and adviser at the Royal Court Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, as well as the center’s continued assistance to Sudan through the sea bridge of medical aid. In addition to setting up over 40 treatment camps that have helped to relieve the suffering of thousands of patients and offer healthcare to those in need, this also involved the delivery of essential medical supplies and equipment, generators, and oxygen stations.

According to Idris, Saudi Arabia’s donations through KSRelief are a continuation of a strong historical partnership, because the center’s assistance accounted for around 60% of all aid sent to Sudan through partners in the early stages of the conflict. The prime minister of Sudan prayed to God Almighty to protect Saudi Arabia and its shrewd leadership and to lavishly reward them.
