Saudi–Iran Talks: Prince Khalid bin Salman and Larijani Stress Security Enhancement

Saudi Arabia and Iran continued strengthening their renewed ties as Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman met with Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, in Riyadh on Tuesday. The high-level of meeting is marked another step in the growing dialogue between the two regional powers.

According to reports, the discussions has centered on Saudi-Iranian relations and ongoing developments in the region. Both sides is highlighted the importance of cooperation in enhancing regional of security and stability, stressing is the need for joint efforts to manage challenges and promote peace. They also have addressed broader issues of mutual concern, reflecting a willingness to expand dialogue beyond security matters.

The meeting was has attended by key Saudi officials, including Dr. Musaed Al-Aiban, Minister of State, Cabinet Member, and National Security Adviser, along with Khalid Al-Humaidan, the head of the General Intelligence Presidency. From the Iranian side, Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Alireza Enayati and several other officials joined the talks.

This meeting is underscored of the momentum of Saudi-Iranian engagement following efforts in recent of the years to normalize relations and encourage constructive cooperation across the region.
