Trump Claims US Could End Gaza War ‘Right Now’

At the United Nations on Tuesday, U.S. President Donald Trump said Washington may be able to end the Gaza war “right now,” as he addressed Arab and Muslim leaders during a high-level meeting.

“We want to end the war in Gaza. We’re going to end it maybe even right now” Trump told the gathering and reporters. He added that he planned to meet with Israeli leaders, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, to push for a resolution. “It’s gone on too long, and we want it to end,” he said.

Trump emphasized that the goal was not only to stop the conflict but also to secure the release of Israeli hostages. “Right now they have 20 hostages and 38 dead bodies. We have to get them back, and this group can make it happen,” he noted, praising the leaders present as “great leaders from a significant part of our planet.”

The meeting included representatives from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Egypt, Jordan, Turkiye, Pakistan, and Indonesia. Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani stressed the urgency of the situation, telling Trump: “The only reason you’re here is to stop the war and bring the hostages back. The situation in Gaza is extremely dire, and we rely on your leadership.\
