Riyadh Mayor Prince Faisal bin Abdulaziz bin Ayyaf has introduced the Riyadh Municipal Transformation Program in a strategic initiative designed to enhance the city’s operational efficiency and improve the quality of municipal services. The program comes in a response to Riyadh’s rapid urban expansion and its growing global importance as it prepares to host the major international events in the coming years.
According to city officials, the initiative aims to ensure municipal services meet the demands of current and the future projects while improving to residents’ quality of life. By aligning services with the unique needs of each community and geographic zone the program seeks to create a more dynamic responsive and resident-focused municipal system.
As part of this transformation, Riyadh’s 16 sub-municipalities will be reorganized into five main sectors. Each sector will be responsible for delivering a full range of municipal operations — both direct and support services to promote better coordination, faster response times, and higher efficiency. The initiative reflects Riyadh’s ambition to establish itself as a world-class city symbolizing modern urban excellence.
