Why Syria’s Recognition at the ‘Made in Saudi’ Exhibition Matters

RIYADH: The Saudi Export Development Authority’s flagship event, the third edition of the “Made in Saudi” exhibition, has selected the Syrian Arab Republic as its honored guest. According to the Saudi Press Agency, the show will take place at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center in Malham on December 15–17, 2025.

In addition to demonstrating both nations’ resolve to strengthen industrial cooperation and broaden frameworks for cooperation initiatives intended to promote common economic interests and promote regional sustainable development—the event reaffirms the two nations’ strong economic partnership. Minister of Economy and Industry Mohammad Nidal Al-Shaer is leading Syria’s delegation. He will be in charge of a pavilion that will house around 25 Syrian businesses in the industrial and service sectors.

Building on Riyadh’s previous involvement in the Damascus International Fair, the joint endeavor conveys the symbolic statement “We Resemble Each Other,” which embodies the cultural and economic ties uniting the two countries as they pursue common industrial goals.

For Syrian businesses, the show is an essential venue for bolstering Arab industrial networks, sharing knowledge with local producers and investors, and strengthening the cross-border industrial ecosystem as a whole.
