Saudi Gifted Students Shine Worldwide with 129 Awards in 2025

RIYADH: Saudi bright students won 129 international awards in 2025 at 26 Olympiads and the International Science and Engineering Fair, according to the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba).

The accomplishment, which was made possible by cooperation with the Ministry of Education, kept the Kingdom in second place at the ISEF international competition. By year’s end, Saudi national teams had won 996 prizes in scientific contests.

According to Mawhiba’s report, over 31,000 students benefited from Mawhiba programs, and over 14,000 were enrolled in research and academic programs provided by 105 local and foreign projects that were collaborated with 70 academic and scientific organizations in 24 locations. More than 95,000 students registered for the National Program for Gifted Identification this year, marking an important milestone.

Additionally, the Mawhiba Advanced Program for Science and Mathematics provided help to approximately 2,770 students in 100 cities and governorates with the goal of improving their mathematical and scientific abilities.

Mawhiba is a nonprofit organization that works to support talented kids on a local, regional, and worldwide scale. It is essential in developing young talent because of its internationally renowned approach to high performance and originality.
